The Adventure of the Sussex Vampire by Arthur Conan Doyle is about a man named Robert Ferguson who wrote a letter to Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson telling them about his concern of vampires. Between a giant rat and a vampire, Sherlock and Watson feel like they are in a fairy tale. In the past, Sherlock Holmes and Watson have dealt with very weird and out of the ordinary things like giant snakes and venomous lizards. Sherlock doesn’t think he can take Robert Ferguson like he is very serious. Later in the story, Watson claims that he has seen a vampire and a child. There was blood on the vampire’s lips. It was not blood though, it was in fact, poison. I think this story was kind of weird because Sherlock Holmes and Watson were going back and forth about vampires until Watson found a vampire sucking a child’s blood and it was really poison. In this story and the story of the Old Shoscombe House, there are both dogs. I find that as a connection from both stories. I think the things that Sherlock Holmes and Watson deal with are very crazy and weird. They deal with things like giant rats, giant snakes, and venomous lizards. I think it is crazy how Sherlock Holmes and Watson find as much as a dust particle or a drop of water and can find a whole mystery about someone murdering another person. I think it is good that Sherlock and Watson are the most popular people to help you solve a mystery in England. They have had more than 60 people hire them for big things that they found like vampires. They also solve mysteries about murder and horse racing. They have made several cases about horse racing and dozens of cases about murder. I think almost every Sherlock Holmes story is about murder. I have read four Sherlock Holmes short stories and they are mostly about murder and mysteries about who murdered who. It looks like Ferguson has been recommended by his lawyers to go to Sherlock Holmes and Watson. They are probably some of the most successful people in England in the stories. This book was good and most of the earlier books I think are shorter. Some of the first books are 60 pages long. The Sussex Vampire was a great book and it was interesting.
